So here is how July went down outside of work.  Anyone remember the World Cup?  I got the best sunglasses to cheer on the USA as a gift and then they doubled as my 4th of July shades.  Double win!  That furry guy isn’t someone who has been introduced yet.  That’s Julius aka Mr. Sophie (he’s really furry and I thought he was girl at first).  Julius rounds out my three fur babies.

2014-07-31_0003 Last month was the Fight for Air Climb for the American Lung Association.  I participated with the Climb through Team Breathe Easy and this group really rocked the house.  We raised over $7000 and as a team we killed some steps!  I could not have been more proud to be a part of such an amazing group of people.  The little quote is one that hangs in my Mom’s kitchen thanks to my sister.  I just love it. : )

So.  June had a lot of birthdays but it has NOTHING on July birthdays.  Some of my favorite people were born in July. Up, above is one of my closest friends celebrating hers.  I mean how cool is it she got to pie someone in the face?  There’s one check on the bucket list.

2014-07-31_0002And then there was mine and my husband’s birthday.  His birthday is almost two weeks before mine and my Mom really knocked our birthday treats out of the park this year.  There you see her first, from scratch coconut cake.  With the help of my sister and I’m sure my Dad this was a culinary masterpiece!  Next to the cake are mint chocolate cupcakes.  I have no doubt the coconut was tasty but in my humble opinion they will never have anything on these cupcakes.  My favorite of ALL time. : )

I hope everyone had an incredible July!  I know I loved every day and can’t wait to see what August has in store!  : )
