Their story started in December 2009 when they met while out with friends. This is the story of Casey and Andrew and their Mugdock Castle elopement.
It was only a few months after they met during the summer of 2010 when Andrew knew Casey was the one. True to their fun loving nature it was all thanks to the song Crossroads by Bone Thugs & Harmony and Casey crushing the Bizzy Bone verse. At that moment Casey hooked Andrew. For Casey it was Valentine’s Day. Casey found herself in a nearby town at a kill shelter. On a bit of an impulse she found a new furry friend, Sawyer, and brought him home. Once she saw Andrew fall head over heals for their new pup and how he embraced her split second decision she knew he was it.
It is only fitting that Sawyer was a part of their proposal. While Andrew had been making special plans for their proposal he realized a little before that he was ready and he had to propose to her right then. He called her up, insisted they take Sawyer to the dog park before their lunch date, made sure he stopped for champagne, and meeting her at their favorite park popped the question.
I don’t think Casey + Andrew could have had a more perfect wedding. Sawyer was dressed to the nines. His coordinating bowtie to Andrew’s pocket square – that is the tartan plaid of Andrew’s family clan from Scotland. Casey was stunning in her mother’s updated wedding dress. Their closest family came to stay with them at Mugdock Castle to celebrate this new step in their adventure. You can’t have this kind of celebration without some bubbles, some happy tears, and of course dancing. : )
After the ceremony and bubbles, Casey + Andrew were ready to head downtown to their wedding dinner at Cypress with their family. We did snag a few more photos first. : )
Casey + Andrew, I am honored you allowed me to be a part of your special day. To be allowed a peak into such a special family makes me feel beyond fortunate. I can’t help but have a huge smile on my face as I imagine the amazing things your future holds. I have no doubt it will include love, strength, fun, and of course Sawyer. Congratulations and thank you!
