One thing I include in all of my wedding collections is a complimentary engagement session. It is partially because I love taking pictures of people in love. It is also a great way for my bride + groom and myself to get to know each other a little more. I do make it a personal goal to try and meet all of my couples face to face. Sometimes though, the bride and I only get a chance to talk over the phone and this is a great way for all of us to have a trial run of working together. At the end of the day, it is important to me for you to feel comfortable.charleston engagement photographers

It’s not all about work either. It’s a little…well hopefully a lot of fun for everyone! I love getting to know my couples, asking about them as individuals, learning about them as a couple, and watching how cute they are together. : ) I want to create a more natural and not forced experience for you. This gives both of us a great idea of what we can expect on the wedding day too. What did you or didn’t you respond to? Is there a more flattering angle you prefer of yourself? How effective are my corny jokes? ; ) In addition you get a feel of how I work as a photographer, and feel a little more comfortable with this crazy, haired blonde chick delivering corny jokes and taking pictures of you.engagement photographers charleston sc

Even if you are working with a photographer who doesn’t gift an engagement session I highly, highly recommend considering doing one. If your future hubs is not into an engagement session then maybe you do a bridal or boudoir session. Honestly, any extra chance you get to interact with your photographer will only help in the long run and make your wedding day run even more smoothly. : )
